Winrar For Windows Server 2008 R2 64 Bit
We are using Windows server 2008 R2 and it is the domain controller for about 40 Windows 7 (64 bit) workstations. The problem is that when you move/unpack file(s) from a workstation (or through the Internet) to a shared network folder on the server you can’t see the file(s) from another workstation before you sign out and sign in and again or wait around 10+ minutes.
Hi, First please test the hotfix in following article for SMB2: And if SP1 is not installed, install on both server and client computers to see the result. Actually a similar issue is discussed a lot. Is that the only server or do you have more of them? The immediate thing that comes to mind is if the shared network folder is in fact a DFS replicated share (eg the same data is replicated across multiple servers, and different users connect to different copies), then some users if they are directed to a different copy may see a delay before they see the files you've added, since it takes a while for the new data to be replicated to the other locations. When you say users can't see the files for a while, do you mean if they navigate to that folder immediately after you've saved the files there they can't see them, or do you mean that if they're in that folder already it takes a while before they see the files have been added? Presumably you've tried refreshing the display, eg pressing f5?
Thank you for your reply and here are answers to your questions: We only have the one server which is our domain controller and our file server so the workstations are not connected to/through any other servers. The problem is the same either way no matter is the user in the target folder or if they navigate to the folder after the transfer has been done. The files are very small (like 0-5 Mb max) so the wait time should be in seconds before they should appear in the target folder.

This is as per expectation and your database engine will truely use 64bit version. Run select @@VERSION in a new query window to get output like (I am using 2005 64bit,In your case it will be 2008 with proper service pack) Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.4207.00 ( X64) Dec 17 2008 14:30:05 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2) Which will confirm the x64 part too. Hi bmanoriah, In addition, in the screenshot provided by Anup, the installation folder contains three folders ('ia64','x64','x86'), the setup file will recognize the platform of the machine by register key and select the appropriate files from those three folders to install. Why you also see Program Files (x86) is because the installation file installed SQL Native client for both 32-bit and 64-bit. Hope this helps, Best Regards, Peja Forum Support Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.
If you have feedback for TechNet Subscriber Support, contact. I ran setup.exe and installed sql server 2008 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit only OS. After the install is complete, I have observed following: 1.
It has created two similar directory structure for 'Microsoft SQL Server'. One under 'Program Files' and the other one under 'Program Files (x386).
It has crteated two similar 'MSSQLServer' registry entries. One under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT and another one under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/MICROSOFT. Is this okay? Sugar bytes unique v121 incl keygen.
And.does database server engine always runs always under 64bit? Just need more clarification as how does this work if my intentions are to use truly 64bit sql server. Thanks for any help in this regard. This is as per expectation and your database engine will truely use 64bit version.
