Better than Vista in that regard but not by much. I guess if you have a computer that can go neck and neck with a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 it's alright, but for the rest of us.

M-p-3That's weird, because Windows 7 works better than XP on my HP Mini 110. I have a 2.0GHz AMD Athlon64 3200+ with 2GB OCZ PC3200/DDR 400 RAM and a 256MB GeForce 6600 that Win7 chokes on and lags all to Hell after running for just an hour. Windows XP is a breeze on it. Even with Win7's fancy GUI disabled (which is uglier than WinXP's Win2k mode) it still lags.

My system was top of the line when I built it in 2005 and still runs great with XP. Runs fine with Linux when I decide to run that. Our mechanic/friend, who is also a geek, keeps saying he'd like to poke around in my BIOS to see why Vista doesn't run good on my computer, because, as he says, his 'laptop runs Vista like a scalded dog'. Still haven't been able to get him over to look at it.

But again, XP runs fine so I don't care much.
