This Buckle is from the Kingdom of Prussia and is a brass ( M1895 ) pre-war enlisted man's item. Znachki dlya rocketdock. The belt was dyed black to conform to the mid-war regulation.

Imperial Germany was composed of four kingdoms; Prussia, Bavaria, Saxony & Wurttemberg along with several Grand Duchies, Duchies and Principalities all of which contributed manpower to the war with several distinctive uniform items. The belt measures approximately 37' long. This is a great collectors piece of history.

The belt measures 32' which was field modified as extra leather was removed shortening the belt ( see photos ). The belt is natural leather which was not dyed black to conform with mid-war regulations. This is an item that has seen a lot of service that still retains its flexibility and looks for both display and use.
